The Interdisciplinary Working Group associated with this project sent a letter of recommendation to the Torngat Wildlife Co-Management Board, Nunavik Marine Region Wildlife Board, and Nunavut Wildlife Management Board. In this letter, it was suggested the boards could explore the use of documentary film and visual media for sharing Inuit voices across Nunavut, Nunavik, and Nunatsiavut. Leveraging visual media will directly contribute to educational and outreach objectives within each of the Inuit regions, and has potential to become a major source of information related to polar bear conservation, Inuit-polar bear connections, and Inuit well-being for educators, researchers, governments, and public audiences around the world.
